What are the limits of language to express human experience? How often are you short of words?
What if your ability to articulate was dramatically multiplied? Words more spontaneous, concise, assured, thoughtful, inspiring—there are so many dimensions to language—colourful, deep, humourous, loving, vitalising, exact. Think of how this would change your life.
What are the limits of language, which is so central to every day?
Poetry can express the inexpressible. Song lyrics also, or those great writers with mercurial wit. Maybe even you. But are we losing the reach and depth and power of language?
We inhabit an extraordinary age, where technologies mediate much of our communication. Yet what use are advanced technologies if our ability to articulate our own experience remains limited. Are we evolving our written communication or leaving its accumulated wealth behind?
The good thing is, it remains possible to practise writing, to master the art form, and to apply it variously every day: in one’s profession, personally, or creatively.
Writing opens worlds. Worlds open comprehension.
One can also discover through reading. Challenge yourself to read a great writer; their great works of literature, science, philosophy, history, psychology. Push the limits of your accustomed language.
Reading opens language. Language opens thought.
In developing your writing and reading ability, the world is enriched as you grow. New horizons appear. Culture awakens. Humanity evolves. Things become much more interesting.
